What are the different types of basins?

Above Counter Basins: Above counter basins are designed to sit above your vanity countertop or benchtop, creating a distinct and luxurious aesthetic.

Inset or Semi-Inset Basins: Inset or semi-inset basins are designed to partially set into your vanity countertop or benchtop, while the top portion of the basin remains visible and protrudes above the countertop.

Undermount Basins: Undermount basins are designed to be installed underneath your vanity countertop or benchtop, creating a seamless and streamlined aesthetic.

Semi-Recessed Basins: Semi-recessed basins are designed to be partially integrated within your vanity countertop and cabinet, where the front portion of basin protrudes beyond the edge of the benchtop.

What is a basin overflow?

An overflow is a small hole or outlet that can be found near the top of some basins. Its purpose is to prevent the overflowing of a basin by allowing excess water to drain out via the opening.

What materials are basins made from?

Ceramic: Ceramic or porcelain is a popular option for bathroom basins. Manufactured at a high temperature, ceramic or porcelain basins are durable, non-porous and easy to maintain and clean.

Solid Surface: Solid surface basins consist of a composite material typically made from a combination of stone and acrylic polymers. Solid surface basins feature a smooth, unique and durable appearance.

Stainless Steel: Stainless steel basins provide an industrial appearance and offer a durable and stain-resistant option for bathroom basins.

Concrete: Concrete basins can offer a durable and unique urban appearance when properly sealed and maintained.
